Gulfport Municipal Facility

A $20 million two-phase, three-story project. Phase I includes a 57,000 square foot Police Headquarters and Municipal Courts Facility. Phase II will include approximately 50,000 square feet of municipal services space. Design included an 1800 kilowatt diesel emergency generator housed in a building rated for FEMA 361 Shelter criteria. A lightning protection system supplemented with multiple levels of bus mounted state of the art transient voltage surge protection for electronic equipment protection was also provided. The building was designed with a UPS to provide uninterrupted power to the E-911 dispatch and Police dispatch. (Principal Electrical Engineer / Design 2008 – Construction 2010)
